About
Winkleman's Greenhouse was established in 1977 by Karen and Gary Winkleman. Gathering upon their experience in the Florida greenhouse industry, they located to Independence, KS and began producing high quality flowering potted plants for the floral industry.
Winkleman's 1997-2023
Today, Winkleman's is owned by their children, Duane and Melissa Small. The Small's have added over 22,000 square foot of growing space and continue the Winkleman's mission of growing top quality plants for their customers.

Our goal is to produce top quality bedding and potted plants for our customers at competitive prices.
We realize that our success is based on the success of our customers and strive to grow plants that are attractive and will perform well for the end consumer.
Retail
Spring Retail
Winkleman's opened a seasonal retail facility beginning in 2012. Located right in front of the wholesale facility fresh plants are stocked daily ensuring the best quality plants and flowers at near wholesale prices.
Fall Retail
Winkleman's grows over 10,00 mums and over 10,000 flats of pansies for the fall season. Retail also carries a wide variety of succulents, strawbales, cornstalks and pumpkins(grown just next door.)
